The science module focuses on bogs as a habitat for ecological, plant and animal studies. A special bog field studies programme is provided for Primary school students. The other worksheets provided will enable post primary students (including Junior Cert, Leaving Cert and Transition Year) to undertake a variety of surveys on a bog visit, using quadrats and transects. The use of the primary and post primary materials provided will help students develop their skills of observation, recording and interpretation of bog habitats and ecology.
