Sadly, most people's contact with bogs comes via large sacks packed with turf sods for the fire or plastic bags filled with gardening peat. This is terrible news for some wild bogs. Peat and turf comes only from bogs, so every sack of peat is lost wildlife habitat. Some bogs have been saved for wildlife, but others are still in danger.

Another bog gets the chop!
