Get Composting on an IPCC
Workshop
FOR RELEASE 11 May 2005
Are you looking for ways to reduce the
volume of waste you are paying to be
collected at your door? Are you conscious of the environmental
impacts of
both sending waste to landfill sites and using peat-based products
in the
garden? Do you want to find ways to make your garden more attractive
to
wildlife such as butterflies, ladybirds and blackbirds? If you
can answer
yes to any of these questions, then a Composting and Wildlife
Gardening
Workshop is what you are looking for.
These workshops raise awareness of the
positive impacts on the environment
home composting can have and demonstrate how to recycle organic
waste from
the kitchen and garden to make compost, whether it is leaf mould,
garden
compost or worm compost. The workshops are designed for both
beginners and
for those who have already started composting. If you have started
composting at home, then come along, share your experiences and
get some
tips and advice to any difficulties you may be having.
The concept of gardening for wildlife
is also discussed, with tips on the
numerous, practical ways you can make your garden more attractive
and safe
for wildlife.
The following workshops still have spaces
