So what do you do with old Christmas Cards ?

For immediate release 4 November 1996

If, like so many other people, you are faced with the environmental dilemma of what to do with your old Christmas Cards when the festive season is over - why not take a leaf out of the Irish Peatland Conservation Council's (IPCC) book and re-use them in one of the following ways!

All Christmas Cards with bird motifs can be sent to the IPCC. We use them to make book markers, gift boxes or gift tags. We sell these in our Nature Shop to raise funds for the save the bogs campaign. You can try these activities as well.

These products are found in the IPCC's Save the Bogs Gift Catalogue - for all lovers of nature. The catalogue contains over 200 gift ideas which are environmentally friendly, produced from unbleached cotton or paper, are trade fair and are not tested on animals. In addition, the gifts can help people of all ages learn more about how they can adapt their lifestyles to reduce their impact on the environment. Themes to choose from include organic gardening, green guides for children, green games and schools packs, wildlife projects and even natural dyeing.

So if you would like a green gift that also supports a good cause - namely the IPCC's Save the Bogs Campaign - write, phone, fax or e-mail IPCC for your free catalogue or even better call into the Nature Shop, at Lullymore, Rathangan, Co. Kidare. Tel 045-860133, Fax: 045-860481. E-mail: bogs@ipcc.ie or visit our Nature shop green gifts catalogue on the web.
