Fenor Bog Painting workshop with artist Mary Golden

Venue: Fenor Bog and National School, Co. Waterford

Watercolour painting and drawing workshop on Fenor Bog with artist Mary
Golden. The weekend session will include an introduction to Fenor Bog and
the points of interest around the bog and an introduction to watercolour
painting to include skills of observation, creation of mood through colour,
composition and colouring mixing and presentation of completed work. This
will be followed by painting and drawing sessions on location in the bog.

Suitable for beginners as well as experienced painters.

Cost £50 for painting participants.
Includes painting tuition, talk and visitor guide to Fenor Bog and Saturday
lunch. The fee includes a donation to the Fenor Bog Conservation Project.
Cost £10 for non painting partners.
Includes bog talk, visitor guide and Saturday lunch.

Bring warm clothes, waterproof boots, a stool, flask and your own art
materials. Participants need to arrange their own accommodation and
transport. A list of B&B's for the area and a map showing the location of
Fenor is available on request.

Mary Golden is a leading Dublin-based watercolour painter who has been
successfully running popular painting courses and encouraging painters since
1980. She has commissioned work in Dublin, London, Rome, New York and
Melbourne. She exhibits widely in Dublin at the RHA and in her own studio
The Golden Art Studio, 4 Foxrock Avenue, Dublin 18.
