For Immediate Release 7th September
The IPCC are holding their 1998 Sale of Work to take place on Saturday 21st November at Christchurch Hall, Rathgar, Dublin 16. The doors will open at 11am and everyone is welcome.
As Christmas creeps closer the IPCC's Sale of Work is an important date for your diary giving you the chance to kill not two birds, but three birds with one stone! How is this possible? Well, firstly we are looking for donations to be sold at the Sale of Work. By going through your cupboards and clearing out any unwanted 'clutter' and donating it to the sale, you will free up space for all those incoming Christmas presents.
Secondly, by attending the Sale of Work itself you will be able to buy presents for your family and friends under the one roof - get some Christmas shopping over and done with early on and give yourself a pat on the back for being together and prepared in advance.
Thirdly, (last but most definitely not least..) by donating to and/or attending the Sale of Work you will be supporting the IPCC in its crucial conservation work. Your generous support will help us to reach our fund-raising target. We hope that the Sale of Work will raise in the region of £10,000 to fund this year's Bog Biodiversity Challenge - a national survey of rare and threatened species found on bogs. The funds raised will also help us to continue with our programme of education, public awareness and site purchase.
Can you help us by donating any of the following:
If you would like to volunteer your help, make a donation of
sale items or cash please call into our office at 119 Capel Street,
Dublin 1 or contact Oscar Duggan on 01 8722397. IPCC will be collecting
items for sale and accepting donations during September and right
up to the event in November.
