Save the Bogs - Sale of Work

A date for your diary.

The Irish Peatland Conservation Council are holding the Save the Bogs Sale of Work on Saturday 13th November at Christchurch Hall, Rathgar, Dublin 16. The doors will open at 10 am, admission is 50p and everyone is welcome.

As Christmas creeps closer the IPCC's Save the Bogs Sale of Work is an ideal chance to kill not two birds, but three birds with one stone!

Firstly we are looking for donations of goods to sell at the Sale of Work - so why not try a millennium clearout any unwanted 'clutter' and donate it to the sale, you will free up space for all those incoming Christmas presents!

Secondly, by attending the Sale of Work you will be able to buy presents for your family and friends under the one roof - get some Christmas shopping over and done with early on and give yourself a pat on the back for being together and prepared in advance.

And finally by donating to and/or attending the Sale of Work you will be supporting the IPCC in its crucial conservation work. Your generous support will help us to reach our fund-raising target. We hope that the Sale of Work will raise in the region of £8,000 to fund restoration work on Fenor Bog Co Waterford which we conserved this year and to help with campaign and education projects in 2000.

• Home Produce - cakes, tinned foods, jams, chutneys
• Handicrafts - knitted items, cushions, flower arrangements
• Pottery and ceramics
• Good quality clothes and knitwear
• Records, tapes and CD's
