Remember, Remember the 21st NovemberFor release 16th November 1998 It's getting closer - the Save the Bogs Sale of Work - the doors of Christchurch Hall, Rathgar, Dublin 16 will open at 11am on Saturday 21st November. The donations have been flowing in and our office has been re-arranged to accommodate the generous offerings of our members and supporters! Come along to our Sale of Work and prepare yourself for a pre Christmas extravaganza. Put yourself in a place where you have the space to leisurely cross the names off your Christmas gift list, working your way through the wide choice of items we have for you to browse through and choose from. The IPCC have gratefully received donations from the public and the business sector county-wide. The stalls include clothing, home-produce, bric-a-brac, toys, plants, jewellery, books and let's not forget the raffle stall where, if your lucky, you could win a seasonal Christmas hamper. So for a shopping trip with a difference, come along to the IPCC's Sale of Work. Invest in your natural heritage and relish in the knowledge that through you support you are contributing to the conservation of Ireland's valuable and irreplaceable wildlife habitats. Your support will help us to reach our fund-raising target. We hope that the Sale of Work will raise in the region of £10,000 to fund this year's Bog Biodiversity Challenge - a national survey of rare and threatened species found on bogs. The funds raised will also help us to continue with our programme of education, public awareness and site purchase. IPCC will be collecting items for sale and accepting donations right up to the event in November. We look forward to seeing you on November 21st. Postscript: Thanks to the many supporters who gave item for our Save the Bogs Sale of Work, to the 40 volunteers that helped out on the day and the 100's of supporters and public who bought from our Sale of Work in Christ Church, Rathgar, Dublin on the 21 November IPCC managed to raise £5,600 for the Save the Bogs Campaign.
