Florida
The original area of wetland recorded in Florida
in 1780 was 82,255 km², in the 1980´s it was estimated
to be 44,672 km². Agricultural land reclamation accounted
for most of this reduction. The main peatland type identified
in Florida is sub-tropical savanna fen.
