Slovakia
Slovakia has a peatland area of 4,505 ha².
Three types of peatland have been identified; raised bogs, transitional
bogs and minerotrophic (mineral rich) bogs. It is proposed to
protect 774 ha² of peatland for nature conservation purposes.
